(+)-Dipentene Limonene CAS 5989-27-5
It is a colorless oily liquid with a pleasant fresh orange aroma, and should have no odor of camphor or terpene. Under the influence of air and moisture, it can spontaneously oxidize into carvone and carvohydrin, leading to deterioration. Its boiling point is 177℃ and flash point is 46℃. It is miscible with ethanol and most non-volatile oils; slightly soluble in glycerin, and insoluble in water and propylene glycol.
Natural products are found in over 300 types of essential oils, particularly in citrus essential oils such as orange oil (about 90%), lemon oil, tangerine oil, white lemon oil, grapefruit oil, lime oil, neroli oil, orange leaf oil, bergamot oil, parsley seed oil (about 40%), dill oil, cumin oil, and coriander seed oil (about 60%).
