Summary

Tadalafil has a molecular formula of C22H19N3O4 and a molecular weight of 389.4. Since 2003, it has been widely used to treat male erectile dysfunction under the trade name Cialis. In 2008, Eli Lilly sold the commercial expansion rights of this product for the treatment of PAH to a combination therapy company. In June 2009, the FDA approved Tadanafil for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) patients in the United States under the trade name Adcirca. Tadanafil was introduced in 2003 as a medication for the treatment of ED in Chemicalbook. It takes effect 30 minutes after administration, but its optimal efficacy is 2 hours after onset, and the efficacy can last for 36 hours. Its efficacy is not affected by food. The dosage of Tadanafil is 10 or 20mg, and the recommended initial dose is 10mg. The dosage adjustment is based on the patient's reactions and adverse reactions. Preliminary market research has shown that after 12 weeks of oral administration of 10 or 20mg tadalafil, the effective rates are 67% and 81%, respectively.
