Application field

According to the hygiene standard GB2760-2007 for the use of food additives in China, they can be used on sugar free chewing gum with a maximum dosage of 200g/kg. As confirmed by JECFA, the ADI value ranges from 0 to 50mg/(kg body weight · d). The US FDA specifies the maximum usage of mannitol in various foods as follows: peppermint candy 98%, gummy candy 40%, hard candy 5%, candied fruits and ice cream 8%, cough syrup 5%, jam jelly 15%, gummy candy 31%, and other foods 2.5%. Mannitol is listed in the United States Pharmacopeia, the Natural Medicines section, as well as in pharmacopoeias around the world, including the Food Chemistry Handbook (FEC).
